During a declared state of public health emergency, an emergency temporary permit may be issued to practical nurses licensed in another jurisdiction of the U.S. The license must be current, unrestricted and in good standing. The practical nurse must register with the board prior to providing practical nursing care.

The emergency permit may be issued for 60 days or until termination of the state of public health emergency, whichever comes first and only if you intend to provide services gratuitously (not for compensation). If you plan to practice for compensation you must complete an application for licensure by endorsement.
